Mathematical Proofs: Conditional Connective
The conditional connective (i.e. if-then) and biconditional connective (i.e. if-and-only-if) are both logical operations. We examine a complicated logical expression that involves several of each connective operation and develop a truth table for the overall expression.
Conditional Connective Example 01
3/12/2014
Running Time: 6:15
This problem examines two logical expression that both use the conditional connective (e.g. if-then) and the biconditional connective (e.g. if-and-only-if). We establish that the two logical expressions are equivalent by constructing a truth table for each and showing they are the same. This problem provides practice using the basic definitions of the conditional and biconditional connectives.
